# Risks

Before using Kraken, it is important to understand the risks involved and the best practices to protect yourself from being banned. The absence of risk does not exist, but it is possible to come close.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Kraken is not responsible for any banning.
{% endhint %}

The matrix below defines the different levels of risk mentioned in the documentation. Please refer to it in case of doubt.

<mark style="color:green;">**No risk of banning / Low risk of banning :**</mark>

* Game client comfort features (zoomhack, nickname colours, SP wings modifier, NosBazar search, etc.).

{% hint style="info" %}
A button to deactivate Kraken in the cheats menu is available for normal screen capture and screen sharing.
{% endhint %}

* Automation features (excluding Activity Menu): restart/join raids, automatically enter IC, RBB, Caligor, etc.

{% hint style="info" %}
The automation features are designed to be humanly achievable so as not to be easily detected. However, an in-game GM check in case of suspicion is possible at any time, hence the importance of being in front of the screen if this happens.
{% endhint %}

<mark style="color:orange;">**Moderate risk of banishment (in the event of failure to monitor and abuse) :**</mark>

* Automated activities: fishing, automatic attack, automatic drops

{% hint style="info" %}
Always be next to the PC when this type of activity is started.\
Avoid multi-counting or doing anything else in parallel with the game.
{% endhint %}

<mark style="color:red;">**High ban risk :**</mark>

Cheats / hacks: attack speed, no delay, talk from far, spy camera, etc.

{% hint style="info" %}
Avoid using cheats in public as they are visible to other players.\
Cheats leave traces in the game logs, and banning is inevitable if they are reported.
{% endhint %}
